So it came down to the two David's. I was shocked that David Cook won the whole thing. The way the show pointed to David Archuleta I thought he had the victory. I was pretty disappointed when it went the other way. I would have liked a young kid from Utah who was genuinely excited and happy and humble to win the show. Not that I don't think David Cook is talented--I do. In fact, I think he will sell way more records and put out more popular music. I like his style. But I don't think American Idol is about who will be the best recording artist. I think it is about who can get a following--Taylor Hicks did it in season 5--he was never going to be a super popular artist. But he had a different kind of talent which included a way of getting people to like him--just like David Archuleta. David Cook is more like that Daughtry type--you don't win but you go on to be quite successful. We'll see what happens from here but I really thought David A was going to get the victory and David C was going to get the sales. I was dead wrong on the first part.

I am so sad that David A. didn't win. I totally agree with you, though.....I think that David Cook will sell more records.
I completely agree with you!! Cook was good but Archuleta was just such a cute little mormon boy from utah, and he had such an amazing voice.
I was SO surprised Cook won. I think it ended up being a backlash against Archuleta after Simon said he'd win. Simon just can't catch a break, right? :)
I know, I know, I'm so sorry! I wanted to come clean about the blog, really I did--but I was afraid Nathan would leave me. I've been a closet blogger for months, out of necessity! haha Actually, I created the blog way back in January, just kind of messing around, trying to figure the whole thing out, but I didn't do anything with it till just barely. Please forgive me! I'll make you some more donuts! And hey, bring Baby Robby over to play--Nathan is afraid you're keeping him away on purpose. :( We miss him!

I so wanted David A. to win as well. Ah well. At least his name is out there now. I think he will still get to record his own record, but he totally should have won.
