Park City

We're in Park City for this beautiful Fourth of July weekend with the Parsons' fam. We're missing MaryAnn and Daniel who are having their own awesome adventure in India working with the Rising Star program. Liz & Jason are here from Wisconsin and Robert brought out the rest of their kids. Crazy that the whole rest of the fam already lives in Utah! (now that Andrew & Becca just moved here)

We spent a lot of time outside yesterday between the summer activities at the Park City Resort
and the Oakley Rodeo! They had zip lines, little roller coaster, alpine slides, ski lift, trampoline thing, and little kiddie rides. It was a blast! The rodeo was a lot of fun too - Robby LOVED all the animals but just couldn't get close enough to be content.

There's Maddie & Robby playing at the house...
Luckily Robby would take a little nap in the mei tai! I love how cute he looks in his hat - if he'd only keep it on!

Those of us watching kids or in Amy's case, pregnant, chose to ride the ski lift up and back for fun. What we DIDN'T know is it would take over an HOUR! What the heck... after about 20 min the kids were so bored and we had to sing songs and distract them with tic tacs and chapstick...

Crazy - as we were getting near the bottom, finally, Rob spotted us and started running towards our lift chair and then on past us - apparently his phone had dropped out of my pocket without me even noticing and he happened to see it and was able to run go and find it! Thank goodness!

Robby liked the carousel and loved all the animals at the rodeo! Robby also loves Nathan and Amy!!!! And we love that Nathan and Amy like to play with Robby! :)

It was a blast!

Watching the fireworks at the end of the rodeo... Robby couldn't take his eyes off of them!

For those wondering, yes, that still is my husband! One of my favorite reactions to his new "look" was from his grandpa Parsons, "Are you scared to crawl in bed at night with that grizzly bear!?" So Rob's been growing out his beard since graduating from BYU (for those who don't know their dress code requires you to be clean shaven so he's taking a much deserved break from that). I'm ok with facial hair but really? Ah.... we're working out a compromise that will hopefully be coming soon! And just a note - the more people tell him to shave it the less he will want to! So help me out!

And sorry for the barrage of posts today! I'm finally getting caught up!

Now we're off to a Trunnell Reunion! Expect more pictures soon!

What is it about graduating that makes our boys NEED beards? One of Dustin's class mates recently told him he looks like one of the mercenaries on the latest Rambo cause of his current beard...love it...sort of :)

My husband is also growing out his "beard." It's been super lame cause it's really patchy. Thank your lucky stars that at least Robby can GROW a beard!

I'm so glad you're having fun, and SO happy to see some Park City pictures. I know we've talked about it, but it's where we adopted Lily, so I feel all warm and fuzzy thinking about it:) Can't wait to see more!

Love the post, Esther! Way to be on top of things--I still need to take some blogging lessons from you.

PLEASE don't remind me of that ski lift!!! AHH!! WHAT DID WE GET OURSELVES INTO?!

Aside from that, it was an awesome weekend. So nice to get away with everyone and just relax. (Well, sort of...less of the relaxing and more of the typical Parsons CRAZY vacation schedule, but hey, still fun!) Glad you finally got "Cowboy Rob" to tone down the facial hair!

P.S. We love Robby too!!! :) Can't wait to have a little guy (???) of our own!
